Anthony Wiencek always asks his students for feedback. Whether he’s teaching infant CPR or a course on bloodborne pathogens, he recognizes that it only matters if the students are getting what they need.

“At the end of the day, the most important aspect of any course is that our students are more prepared and better able to respond if they’re in an emergency situation,” he says.

Recently, we sat down with Wiencek, an EMT and instructor who has been using ECSI training resources since 2005. He owns two training centers, Emergency Training Partners and ICE Training Center, where he offers courses such as CPR, AED, first aid, and bloodborne pathogens along with an occasional wilderness first aid course.

When he sought materials for his courses, he reviewed resources from a wide range of companies. As he explains: “I went through a process where we were evaluating which curriculums were the best for what our business purposes were. And the answer with ECSI was very clear. The curriculum quality was either as good or better than many of the other organizations that are out there. It (ECSI) has the ability to easily adapt to the specific courses you’re looking for…and from a cost perspective, it was difficult to beat.”

In addition, Wiencek has found the student feedback on ECSI training to be positive, with students finding the material easy to understand and effective in teaching them what they need to know to make a difference in the field. He also appreciates ECSI’s prompt customer support, flexible course options, and a simplified delivery system. In his words, “ECSI is a great training partner.”
