Regulatory Approvals
Since the inception of the Emergency Care & Safety Institute (ECSI),
our programs have received regulatory approvals for various categories, including:
and Fire
and Child Care
Recreation
ECSI’s course materials are based on the latest International Consensus Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Emergency Cardiac Care (ECC).
ECSI programs are offered in association with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) and the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP)—two of the most renowned medical organizations in the world. These organizations provide medical direction to ECSI and stand behind the content of our training materials. Our programs are consistent with ILCOR recommendations and meet or exceed the American Health Association (AHA) guidelines.
To learn more about ECSI and our associations with AAOS and ACEP, read our statement letter.
ECSI is responsible for developing content and issuing course completion cards in accordance with ILCOR recommendations and American Heart Association ECC Guidelines; however, ECSI does not determine or regulate whether a card is accepted by a specific authority, agency, or governing body. Decisions regarding acceptance, recognition, or approval are made solely by the applicable regulatory or oversight organization.
Acceptance requirements vary by jurisdiction, governing organization, and in some cases may be Education Center specific. For this reason, ECSI cannot provide confirmation, interpretation, or assurances regarding another entity’s regulatory or licensing requirements. Any determination as to whether an ECSI card issued by your Education Center satisfies regulatory, statutory, or compliance obligations must be obtained directly from the appropriate regulatory body.
If you have questions related to our course content, training standards, or the information included on our cards, we would be happy to assist. Please contact us at [email protected].
