Education Centers & Instructors

Each year, thousands of instructors join the Emergency Care & Safety Institute (ECSI) and embrace our mission of making life-saving training accessible and affordable to as wide a population as possible. Most of these instructors come to ECSI after years of teaching with other training organizations. Some choose ECSI in order to save on training materials and pass these savings on to their customers. Others choose ECSI because we make it easy to manage and administer training. Regardless of why you choose to join, we're sure that you'll be happy you did.

The sign-up process is simple. If you are a new instructor who needs to apply to teach with an existing ECSI Education Center, click here to complete your application and affiliate with your ECSI Education Center.

If you want to sign up your business as a brand new ECSI Education Center, follow these three simple steps:

Step 1. Complete the Education Center application in five minutes or less. We'll begin to review your application upon receipt.

Step 2. Wait one to two business days for our Membership Office to review your application. We'll send you an e-mail to let you know that we are working through the process.

Step 3. Receive your approval e-mail notification from us and finalize your acceptance by purchasing a Teaching Package for the course(s) you wish to teach. Unlike some other organizations that require costly instructor materials for every instructor, we require only that a single Teaching Package be purchased for your new Education Center—regardless of how many instructors plan to use it! The decision to buy additional Teaching Packages is all yours.

Learn to Teach with ECSI

If you have little or no teaching experience but would like to learn how to train others to perform life-saving skills like basic life support and first aid, we’ll help you. Learn more about opportunities to enroll in an ECSI Instructor Development Course (IDC). If you are an authorized ECSI Education Center, you can offer the IDC using the IDC materials found in the Member Area.
